Biography & Career Highlights:

Will, who pitched in 69 games for the Cubs last year, saw major league action for the first time since August 2001 ... the left-hander spent the 2002-2003 seasons recovering from two surgeries on his left elbow ... is a 1995 graduate of Ponderosa High School in Parker, CO ... along with being an honorable mention all-state pitcher as a senior, he was an all-state placekicker in football ... attended Pepperdine University (CA), majoring in business administration ... was a second-team all-West Coast Conference selection in 1998.

2006 Highlights:
Ohman appeared in a career-high 78 games. He held opponents scoreless in 63 of those games. He matched his career high with four strikeouts on Aug. 28, while tying his season high of two scoreless innings of relief. From June 16-July 30, he had a 1.72 ERA in 18 appearances, and struck out 18 in that stretch.

2005 Highlights:
Will made his first big league appearance since August 19, 2001, on April 26 against Cincinnati -- pitched 0.2 innings of scoreless relief at Wrigley Field ... picked up his first victory of the season - and his first since September 22, 2000 -- on May 13 at Washington ... worked a scoreless seventh inning before the Cub offense plated 4 runs in the eighth in the 6-3 win ... allowed just 5 runs over his final 14.2 innings of the season (spanning 23 games) ... stranded 35 of his 47 inherited runners ... was unscored upon in 46 of his last 55 outings (spanning 35.0 innings) and posted a 2.83 ERA over the stretch ... was unscored upon in 58 of 69 total appearances (spanning 37.1 innings) ... started the season at Iowa (AAA), where he was 1-0 with 1 save and a 4.15 ERA in 8 games ... held opposing batters to a .138 average, striking out 12 batters in 8.2 innings of work ... worked a season-high 2.0 innings April 16 at Albuquerque, retiring all 6 batters he faced -- including 4 via the strikeout.
