So I really did try to think of something positive to say in this blog update but I could not find one positive thing that is going right for the Chicago Cubs. Defense, offense, pitching, everything absolutely sucks and you might as well be call this team the laughable losers. The clubhouse is reportedly split and that means Lou has already lost this team.

The Chicago Cubs will kick off the 2010 Spring Training campaign against the Oakland Athletics on Thursday afternoon. We look forward to a injury free spring training and starting off on the right foot for the 2010 season. Will this be the year?

Cubs starting pitcher Randy Wells pitched into the seventh inning as the Cubs beat the Astros 4-1 and evened up their series at one game each. Wells became the first Cubs rookie pitcher since Kerry Wood to record double digit wins in their rookie season. Let’s keep on winning and picking up ground in the wild card!

Rich Harden threw seven shutout innings and only allowed one hit as the Cubs avoided an embarrassing sweep from the San Diego Padres. The Cubs offense was led by Milton Bradley and Aramis Ramirez who both hit home runs in the 7-1 victory. Can they team build from this as they head to Los Angeles?
