I have some extra copies of MLB 08 The Show for Playstation 3 that were sent to me along with a pair of Cubs Tickets that I plan on giving away here on CCB.  I’m wondering what type of contests you would like to see and take part in?

Would you like 2 seperate contests for each prize, or 1 contest with one person getting the first choice, and runner up getting the second prize?

Let me know what you think, and lets try to get this thing going later this week or the beginning of next week! Spread the word for a free copy of MLB 08 the Show or a pair of Cubs Tickets in the bleachers!

Well this morning was the day a lot of Cubs fans have been waiting for.  Today Cubs single game tickets went on sale to the general public and it went pretty good I thought.  I was able to get in quite a bit and get tickets for the games that I wanted without too much trouble.  Grabbed some for my mom as well, so she will be happy as well.

How is everyone else faring in the virtual waiting room?  Remember to open up multiple windows to have better chances of getting selected.

Also, keep checking back here at Chicago Cubs Blog , we will soon be running a contest for some free Cubs Tickets.  The tickets will be in the bleachers and more then likely will be for a pair of tickets.

The day all Cubs Fans take off work, call in sick, or fake some other injury!  Feb 22nd is the day we will all be waiting inside the much hated virtual waiting room trying to get our cubs tickets for the upcoming Cubs season.  That is unless you are in Chicago and get lucky with the wristband drawing. Good luck which ever way you try to get your tickets!

Online orders will begin at 10 A.M. central time, and they will start letting people into the virtual waiting room starting at 9:30 A.M.  You will be able to purchase six tickets for each game, up to 42 total tickets.  Do not go over the limits, or you will more then likely have all them cancelled.

So how do you plan on getting your cubs tickets? At the stadium?  Via telephone? Or the virtual waiting room?  Have any good ticket stories you want to share?  Leave us a comment!

The Chicago Cubs and the San Diego Padres will be playing in the 2008 Hall Of Fame game on June 16th in Cooperstown, NY.  This years game will also be the last Hall of Game, which is an exhibition game in the middle of the season.  If agree with the decision of not having it after this year, I don’t see the point in playing an exhibition game during the middle of the season.

The game will begin at 2 p.m. ET, with pregame festivities starting at noon with the Hall of Fame Game Day Parade on Main Street and a Home Run Derby at Doubleday Field.  Ticket prices are $12.50 for first- and third-base seats and $11 for outfield seats. Tickets will be available for purchase just one of two ways for the final Hall of Fame Game, in-person during a one-day sale on March 8, or for members by phone beginning March 8.

If you are on the Cubs Season Ticket waiting list, you would have received a e-mail this morning giving you a URL to purchase tickets for a 9 game plan.  You had to pick and choose the games, and only one White sox, and two Cardinals games were on the list.  Sucked that you were only able to pick one of those three however.  So check your email, if you want to get some good White Sox or Cardinals tickets.  Lots of Brewers games are available as well.

If you are a Cubs season ticket holder, you have already received the information about your tickets going up in price by nearly 20%!  That is a pretty big jump, but if you are already spending that kind of money, what does a little extra more mean lol!  Maybe the Cubs season ticket waiting list will go down a little bit now.

The highest priced season tickets are infield club box seats which would run you $6050 per seat for all 81 games at Wrigley Field.  Last season those same seats were $4720!  Big jump yeah.  But I bet almost all of those people that have those seats will be renewing.  Would you?  Do you have tickets and plan on not renewing?  Let us know via the comments page!
