Zambrano ejected but Cubs win 5-2

Big Carlos Zambrano went off on a big tirade after being ejected in the seventh inning but the Cubs still beat the Pirates 5-2 and took two out of three games in the series. Zambrano acted as if he ejected the umpire, threw a ball out into left field, and also smashed up the poor gatorade dispenser in the dugout with a bat!

Cubs beat Marlins over the weekend

Cubs pick up two more wins over the Florida Marlins as they took three out of four games in the series. The organization also retired the #31 on Sunday in honor of Fergie Jenkins and Greg Maddux. The only bad deal with the weekend is that Carlos Zambrano hurt a hamstring.

Cubs bounce back with 11-3 win

What a difference a night makes for the Chicago Cubs. After dropping the first game down in Arizona 7-2, the Cubs bounced back and crushed the Diamondbacks 11-3 on Tuesday night. Carlos Zambrano got the win and also had three hits in the game. He only needed a triple for the cycle.

More offensive struggles as Cubs lose again

The Cubs bats are officially ice cold! Once again the Reds pitching staff shut down the Cubs offense as the Reds finished off the series with a 7-1 victory. It was the first series loss for the Cubs in the season and they need to play better defense and hit better down in St. Louis or it’s going to be a very long series.
