Cubs take game one against the Astros

Rich Harden threw into the eighth inning and the Chicago Cubs beat the Houston Astros 6-3 on Wednesday night. Rich Harden threw into the eighth inning while picking up the win and Reed Johnson supplied the lumber with a three run triple in the first inning to get the Cubs bats going. Aramis Ramirez added a solo home run as well.

Theriot stays hot as Cubs beat Giants

The Chicago Cubs picked up another win and Mr. Grit – Ryan Theriot showed off his power once again as the Cubs beat the visiting San Francisco Giants 4-2. Theriot’s two run shot in the second inning was a huge hit in the game as the Cubs only had five total hits. Ryan Dempster picked up the win.

After having a great game on Tuesday night, the Cubs game back on Wednesday afternoon for the rubber game of a three game series against the Diamondbacks and they should probably just stayed in the hotel or got on the plane early to head back to Chicago. When will the team start playing better?

Cubs get roughed up down in St. Louis

It was a pretty bad weekend for the Cubs as they dropped two out of three games down in St. Louis against the league leading Cardinals. After losing the first two games on Friday and Saturday, the Cubs were able to rebound on Sunday and come away with a 10-3 win to snap the Cards nine game home win streak.
