Cubs effective enough to beat Nats 3-1

It wasn’t that pretty for the Cubs offense last night but Carlos Zambrano came through with a two run double in the top of the second inning and he pitched well enough to get the victory as the Cubs beat the Nationals 3-1. The Cubs bullpen was great as four pitchers combined to throw four innings and limit the Nats to just two hits down the stretch.

Monday was a great day for Cubs Fans

Great day for Cubs fans! First we hear about the sale of the team has been sent to Major League Baseball for approval. Second of all the Cubs beat the Braves 4-2. And finally the team made some roster moves that most Cubs fans agreed with. You gotta love the groin injury for David Patton lol!

Cubs take game one in Pittsburgh 3-1

It was a good night for the Cubs and their fans on Monday night as the team opened up a three game series on the road in Pittsburgh with a 3-1 victory. Rich Harden threw seven innings to pick up the win and the offense did just enough by scoring single runs in the second, third and fourth innings.

Late inning rally wins it for the Cubs!

Alfonso Soriano came up big with a game winning hit that scored Reed Johnson as the Cubs came from behind to beat the White Sox by the score of 6-5. The Cubs scored four runs in the eighth inning to tie the game at 5-5 thanks to back-to-back home runs from Derrek Lee and Geovany Soto. Finally the bats came around!
