The Chicago Cubs kicked things off right at Wrigley Field as the beat up on the division rivals to the North on Monday afternoon. On a day where new owners met the fans as the came through the stadium, it was the big bats that that excited those fans even more.

Powered by home runs off the bats of Xavier Nady, Jeff Baker and Aramis Ramirez the Cubs offense powered the team to a 9-5 victory and a huge win as the team came off a disappointing road trip to begin the season.

Carlos Zambrano proved once again why he should not start an opening day game for the Cubs as he got rocked for eight earned runs and the Cubs lost 16-5. Just a terrible way to start the 2010 season.
