Hoffpauir and Ramirez lead the Cubs to 7-2 win

After two days off, the Cubs came back on Tuesday night and kicked off a three game series with the Cincinnati Reds and they got off on the right track with a 7-2 victory. It was a great way to start the series even though Lou had to use a few guys out of the bullpen that he would rather not have.

Soriano goes deep in the 8th as Cubs beat Cards 8-7

Alfonso Soriano came up big on Friday afternoon as he hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Cubs a 8-7 lead and than Carlos Marmol made the one run lead hold up as the Cubs beat the Cardinals to even up the four game series!

Gregg gives up the game winning hit once again

The Chicago Cubs got off on the wrong foot as they lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 on Friday. Kevin Gregg gave up the game winning hit in the game for the second time this week as he was unable to hold onto a one run lead heading into the ninth inning.

The Chicago Cubs won’t be going 182-0 in 2009 as they lost Tuesday night 3-2 in 10 innings to the Houston Astros. The Cubs offense sputtered and could not help out Ryan Dempster who threw six strong innings. Neal Cotts took the loss for the Cubbies.
