Would the offense please do something?

The Cubs offense needs to turn things around quick before they find themselves down six or seven games in the division. They continued to suck it up on Wednesday as they lost 4-1 against their cross town rival in the White Sox. It was just another embarassing performance by the guys at the plate.

Gerarld Perry fired as Cubs offense sputters

As the Chicago Cubs offense continues to struggle, general manager Jim Hendry decided to finally make a move. Hitting coach Gerald Perry was fired and Von Joshua, a hitting coach at Triple A Iowa was hired. Hopefully the players can react better to Joshua and get out of this nasty slump.

Offense shows up as Cubs pound Astros 7-1

The Cubs got a great starting performance out of Ted Lilly as the threw 6 2/3 innings of shutout baseball and the Cubs beat the Astros 7-1. Finally the offense came around and had 16 hits in the game as five different players had rbi’s. Great game all around as the Cubs moved into a tie for second place.

Free swinging Cubs shutout 3-0

Eh, what a terrible game on Tuesday night for the Cubs. The free swingers were shut out by Joel Pineiro who tossed a complete game three hit shutout as the Cardinals took the first game of the series 3-0. That’s what happens when you swing at pretty much every pitch… Patience guys!
