Cubs show why they are a .500 team

This is exactly why the Chicago Cubs are a .500 team. There is no way you should be getting shut out against the Pittsburgh Pirates but that is exactly what happened Tuesday night in Pittsburgh as the Pirates beat the Cubs 3-0. The Cubs big hitters simply did not get the job done when they were called on as they stunk it up again.

Ryan Raburn says take that Kevin Gregg!

Kevin Gregg blows his third save of the season as the Cubs lose 5-4 to the Detroit Tigers. Ryan Raburn took Gregg deep for a game winning two run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Gregg is not capable of being the everyday closer for the Chicago Cubs in my opinion but what other choices do they have right now?

Late inning rally wins it for the Cubs!

Alfonso Soriano came up big with a game winning hit that scored Reed Johnson as the Cubs came from behind to beat the White Sox by the score of 6-5. The Cubs scored four runs in the eighth inning to tie the game at 5-5 thanks to back-to-back home runs from Derrek Lee and Geovany Soto. Finally the bats came around!
