Radio Interview with ESPN Radio 95.5 The Game This Morning
Hey everyone, I had the pleasure of being interviewed this morning by 95.5 The Game ESPN Radio in Portland, Oregon as they were doing their MLB Road Trip segment during the morning show. It was my first ever live radio interview and I was nervous as you can tell if you listed to the podcast. I hope to have the pocast up on the site here later today for everyone to listen to. I did not know what questions were going to be asked so everything was just a quick thought and answer.
Some of the questions that I was asked were:
- The Cubs interest in Pedro Martinez and what kind of role he would play with the team?
- Aramis Ramirez being out with the separated shoulder and how it has hurt the team?
- Why the Cubs ownership does not give general manager Jim Hendry the spending ability like the Yankees or Red Sox have?
- Why the Rich Harden trade has been a bust so far?
So give it a listed over at 955TheGame once today’s podcast is put up. I kicked off the second hour of the show.

You sounded like a 12 year old girl!!!
They butchered your website name a couple of times, way to correct them. How long have you been doing this blog and are you in Chicago now?
Didn’t listen to the podcast, but Harden trade a bust. He’s not the Harden of a couple years ago but:
Sean Gallagher: 2-5 with a 8.16 ERA
Matt Murton: playing in CO Springs
Eric Patterson: playing in Sacremento
Josh Donaldson might be worth something someday, but he wouldn’t be helping the Cubs out today.
What kinda questions are they asking? Are these guys professionals?
Yeah I was surprised they butchered the domain name more than once when they clearly knew that address as that is how they contacted me in the first place. I had to throw in the url there at the end.
Ginger: I agree the Harden trade has not been a bust for the Cubs. Sure he has been injured but for what they gave up to get him, things don’t look near as bad.
Jon in Omaha: I’ve been writing the blog since November of 2005 and plan on writing for many more years!
