So the Cubs lost 2 of 3 against the Reds at Wrigley Field after sweeping the Cardinals. Who would have thought that? With a crazy Zambrano on the mound yesterday the Cubs looked lost and lost 8-3 to end the series. Off they goto Pittsburgh to play the Pirates who are 3-8 on the season and 2-2 at PNC Park.

I think the Cubs can sweep this series if, Sean Marshall can lead the team to a victory tonight. Sean pitched a hell of a game during his Major League debut and hopefuly he will continue with that and the Cubbies get the W! Aramis Ramirez could possibly be back this weekend but will not be playing tonight. Jacque Jones won’t be playing at all this weekend as he lets his hamstring heal.

Wahoo, the Chicago Cubs have locked up Derrek Lee for the next 5 years! The contract is for 5 years, 65 million dollars that will run through 2010! Lee gets a no trade clause in the contract also. This is great news for Cubs fans! Hopefully Derrek will have another productive year and help the Cubs reach the playoffs. Congratulations on the new contract Derrek!
