Juan Pierre headed to the Dodgers

Submitted by Cliff on Wednesday, 22 November 2006 No Comment

Juan Pierre is headed to the Los Angeles Dodgers after signing a 5 year, 45 million dollar deal with the team yesterday.  I’m not sure if Hendry ever made a contract offer towards Pierre but with the way he has been spending money I really doubt that Pierre was near the top of list of free agent priorities.

It was being rumored that the Giants had offered Pierre a contact for four years and 32-34 million.

Look for Soriano or Jones (please not with his weak arm) possibly to play CF.  People are talking about Soriano also batting lead off for the Cubs but I dont’ want to waste his power and RBI opportunities by batting lead off.
