runs in the contest ... made 54 starts for the Redbirds, seeing
action in 49 games in right field (25 starts), 23 games in left
field (12 starts), 18 games at third base (12 starts) and 14 games
at first base (five starts) ... led the Cardinals with 34 pinch
at-bats, hitting a career-best .265 in that role ... hit his third
career pinch-homer August 30 off Florida's Todd Jones ... led
off the 11th inning on July 22 with a triple, leading to the Cardinals'
winning run in the 2-1 contest ... drove in a season-high 5 runs
on May 20 in Kansas City, going 3-for-5 and hitting his first
career grand slam in a 7-6 Cardinal victory ... the bases-loaded
roundtripper came in the first inning off Zack Greinke ... had
a 4-RBI game under a month later, driving in 4 runs in an 8-5
defeat of Tampa Bay on June 19.
