7 batters in the 5-0 defeat of San Diego...the win came the day
after southpaw John Koronka defeated the Padres...the back-to-back
wins by left-handed starters were the first since 1987 (Steve
Trout and Jamie Moyer)...took a perfect game into the seventh
inning September 6 in St. Louis ... David Eckstein singled to
lead off the frame...Rusch held on for the win, snapping his personal
seven-game losing streak...made his final start of the season
on September 29 in Houston, holding a potent Astros lineup to
