Aramis Ramirez Signs With the Brewers

Cubs fans will still be seeing quite a bit of Aramis Ramirez as he will be signed a three year deal with the Milwaukee Brewers pending he passes a physical. It will be weird seeing ...
Cubs Blog

Aramis Ramirez Signs With the Brewers

Cubs Tickets Going Fast

Spring training is under way down in Mesa and the Mike Quade has the squad pretty much setup for opening day and the 2011 season. I don't start getting excited for the season until I start buying tickets to games and that all started today.
Cubs Blog

Cubs Tickets Going Fast

Hendry Accomplished Goals, But Are Cubs Good Enough?

Has Jim Hendry and the management done enough this off season to put the Chicago Cubs in position to make a run at the National League Central? Garza, Wood and Pena will be called upon to put up great numbers while Ramirez, Dempster and Zambrano need to step up and have careers years in our opinion if the Northsiders plan on making it to the playoffs.
Cubs Blog

Hendry Accomplished Goals, But Are Cubs Good Enough?

Ted Lilly and Ryan Theriot traded to the Dodgers

Ted Lilly and Ryan Theriot have found a new home as the Cubs have traded them to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for Blake DeWitt and a couple of minor league pitchers. Good move for the Cubs?
Cubs Blog

Ted Lilly and Ryan Theriot traded to the Dodgers

Cubs hope to have a better second half

It sure was a rough first half for the Cubs and no doubt just as rough of a first half for their fans. A 39-50 record has the team down in the standings behind the Cincinnati Reds and 9.5 games out of first place. Is 9.5 games to much to overcome for this 2010 Cubs team? The way the team hit the ball in the first half it sure is going to be an uphill battle for this team.
Cubs Blog

Cubs hope to have a better second half

2008 was two years ago? Time for a total rehaul.

It’s been a while since I posted a blog entry here and frankly, can you blame me? Watching the 2010 Cubs has been as exciting as watching paint dry and as pleasant as a root ...
Cubs Blog

2008 was two years ago?
The Chicago Cubs are Laughable Losers

So I really did try to think of something positive to say in this blog update but I could not find one positive thing that is going right for the Chicago Cubs. Defense, offense, pitching, everything absolutely sucks and you might as well be call this team the laughable losers. The clubhouse is reportedly split and that means Lou has already lost this team.
Cubs Blog

The Chicago Cubs are Laughable Losers

Are the Cubs really this bad?

The 2010 season has been down right awful for the Chicago Cubs. Fans are getting upset, players are not having fun and you can bet that manger Lou Piniella is getting pretty pissed off and is about really to explode on a player or umpire if they don't pull things together down in Houston this weekend.
Cubs Blog

Are the Cubs really this bad?

Dempster finally gets a win as Cubs beat the Dodgers

Ryan Dempster earned his first victory since April 23rd as the Cubs beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-0 and moved within four games of the Reds and Cardinals who currently lead the division. The bats weren't hot but Derrek Lee had a huge two-run homer that added insurance before Carlos Marmol shut the door in the ninth inning.
Cubs Blog

Dempster finally gets a win as Cubs beat the Dodgers

Cubs News and Notes May 18th

Well the Cubs are doing the same old thing, winning a few games in a row and then going on a three or four game losing streak. Right now they have won a couple games over the Rockies but have a couple of tough games against the Phillies in Philadelphia so anything could happen there.
Cubs Blog

Cubs News and Notes May 18th

Cubs make the call to Starlin Castro

Starlin Castro has received that call that every minor league ball player hopes for letting them know that they have been called up to the Major Leagues. The question I have to ask is this; Are the Cubs rushing Castro to the big leagues due to the slumps they have been going through? My answer is yes.
Cubs Blog

Cubs make the call to Starlin Castro

Cubs offense heats up and goes 7-3 in last ten games

Wow, after my last blog post of the Cubs offense sucking and the bullpen not doing a good job things have turned around for the club. After coming back and taking the final three games of a four game set against the Diamondbacks, the Cubs find themselves 7-3 in their last ten to match the St. Louis Cardinals.
Cubs Blog

Cubs offense heats up and goes 7-3 in last ten games

Zambrano headed to the bullpen

In a surprising move Wednesday, Lou Piniella announced that Carlos Zambrano was moving to the Cubs bullpen and would be available Friday when the Cubs take on the Brewers in Milwaukee.
Hmm this does not make any since to me...
Cubs Blog

Zambrano headed to the bullpen

Astros spoil the Cubs homestand

The Cubs were four outs away from a winning home stand to start the 2010 season at Wrigley Field but the Houston Astros and Geoff Blum had other ideas. Blum singled off Cubs closer Carlos Marmol in the eighth inning and the Astros scored the game winning run in the 10th inning on a sac fly to beat the Cubs 3-2. The one run loss was the second in as many games for the Cubs and it also spoiled a marvelous outing by Ryan Dempster who pitched into the eighth inning.

Will Lou get the offense going and make some changes for the upcoming road trip? When will Aramis Ramirez start swinging the bat?
Cubs Blog

Astros spoil the Cubs homestand

Cubs unable to complete the sweep over the Brew Crew

The Cubs were hoping to sweep the Brewers on Thursday afternoon but bad pitching made sure that did not happen. Four pitchers gave up eight runs (six earned) on 14 hits. Five walks and two errors by the defense did not help out but the team be fielding the ball much better than they did.

Bad pitching by Carlos Zambrano, Sean Marshall, Jeff Samardzija and John Grabrow did the team in as they allowed eight runs to score in the 8-6 loss.
Cubs Blog

Cubs unable to complete the sweep over the Brew Crew
