The Cubs are playing pretty good baseball right now and hopefully they continue doing that as the summer heats up.

Jason Marquis pitches a gem today as he went eight innings, allowing one run on four hits on four hits, walking one and striking out four.  Marquis is now 4-1 on the season.  I had my doubts as did most Cubs fans when Jim Hendry signed Marquis, but I think most of us are glad that move was made lol!  Good job Jason, we hope you can keep it up!

The bats are heating up thanks to Alfonso Soriano who hit his second home run in as many games, and Derrek Lee, Aramis Ramirez, and Ryan Theriot continue to hit the ball very well.

If this team really starts to heat up like they can, everyone in the lineup will be producting hits and RBI’s we will be just fine.  Of course we gotta get the bullpen pitching a little better and holding onto leads but I have a feeling that is going to come around here soon.
