Cubs vs Brewers – Maddux goes for 5th win

Submitted by Cliff on Saturday, 29 April 2006 One Comment

Today the Cubs and Brewers begin a 3 game series at Wrigley Field.  Greg Maddux (4-0 .99 ERA) will take on Dave Bush (2-1 3.54 ERA)  Maddux will be hoping to go 5-0 on the early season.  He is already off to his best start in his career when he got his 4th win during his last game.

Look for Matt Murton to stay hot against the Brewers.  The Cubs left fielder has two RBIs in each of his last three games and is batting .294 overall but is coming off one of his best series against the Marlins earlier this week.

The rest of the pitching matchups for this weekend are:

• Saturday: Brewers (LHP Doug Davis, 0-2, 7.66 ERA) at Cubs (LHP Glendon Rusch, 1-3, 6.41 ERA), 1:20 p.m. CT
• Sunday: Brewers (LHP Chris Capuano, 3-2, 3.00 ERA) at Cubs (RHP Carlos Zambrano, 0-1, 3.94 ERA), 1:20 p.m. CT
