Cubs trade for Jason Kendall

The Cubs have once again made a trade for a catcher hoping to get some offensive productivity from the catchers spot. According to ESPN, the A’s will receive Rob Bowen and Jerry Blevins from the Cubs for Jason Kendall.
Kendall was only hitting .226 in 80 games for the A’s this year. I don’t like him at all. Give Soto a real chance before you go trading for Kendall. Atleast they only had to give up Bowen and a Blevins to get this deal done.Â
What do you all think of this trade? Is Kendall the answer behind the plate for the Chicago Cubs in 2007?

I don’t think Soto is going to miss his chance, he’ll be brought along but can’t be given the reins so early. Not when we are in the hunt. He can be the number 2 guy and have a seasoned veteran take care of our young pitchers. Kendall is still a lifetime .300 hitter who can take a walk and doesn’t strike out much. He has had a bad year but has picked it up in the last 25 games and a change in scenery is helping everybody involved. Pretty good for what might be a rental with cash help. Let’s see if something happens at SS.
Well Soto sure didn’t get his chance that is for sure. I don’t like Kendall on this team at all.
He might just get 1 more RBI to move his season total to 2 however lol. I would rather give Soto the shot.
