Cubs struggle against the Dodgers and lose 2-1
In a game where the offenses both stunk it up it was a hit batter that won the game for the Dodgers today. Carlos Marmol plunked Juan Pierre in the 11th inning that gave the Dodgers the win.
The Cubs got on the board in the 8th inning when Derrek Lee singled in Alfonso Soriano. In the bottom of the 8th, the Dodgers got on the scoreboard when Andre Ethier hit a homerun off lefty Scott Eyre. Eyre was pitching for the first time in a week since he last sucked, well he had the same result today. He still sucked it up, and you could really see Sweet Lou was very pissed off and really let Eyre know.
The Cubs could have really helped themself out with a win today as the Cardinals, Reds, and Brewers all lost. We have got to start winning some ballgames as all the other teams in the Central Division are sucking it up.

this is another example of the offense not hitting and the bullpen blowing the game we bring in Micheal “it couldn’t get much weurtz” Weurtz and Scott ” the Error” Eyre. Friday the bats woke up and Will ” oh man not Will” Ohman and the rest of the bullpen stank it up. Old Style had a commercial a few years ago about how refreshing Old Style and i Feel “Old Style is more refreshing then a bullpen that holds the lead”.
LOL Chris, I love that reply with Old Style!
Cubs need some home cooking as they have a ton of games at home coming up. All starting today with the Marlins. We need to take two of three against the Fish.
Lucky for us, the brewers and everyone else in the Central is sucking at the same time. It’s a long season, lets start winning these close ballgames and see what happens.
