Cubs add Cesar Izturis to the disabled list

Another Cub has been added to the disabled list, this time it is Cesar Izturis. Izturis has been bothered with a sore hamstring all season long and is now going to make a trip to the DL to rest the hammy.
In Izturis’s spot, the Cubs have called up Triple A outfielder Buck Coats. Coats is hitting .277 (119-for-429) with 20 doubles, six home runs and 49 RBI in 118 games for Iowa this season, including a .289 mark (91-for-315) against right-handed pitchers. The Cubs’ 18th round selection in the 2000 First-Year Player Draft, Coats has seen action at all three outfield positions, as well as at second base, third base and shortstop this season.
