2006 Highlights:
Coats notched his first Major League hit with a pinch-hit single
Sept. 12 against Los Angeles. He was called up Aug. 11, and made
his big-league debut in that game in the seventh inning as a pinch-hitter.
He hit his first Major League home run Sept. 24 at Cincinnati,
a solo shot off Aaron Harang. At Triple-A Iowa, Coats batted .282
with 21 doubles, seven home runs and 51 RBIs in 124 games.
2005 Highlights:
Buck spent his first season at the Double-A level, batting .282
in 127 games for the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx ... recorded 32 multi-hit
affairs, including one 4-hit and one 5-hit contest ... went 5-for-6
with a double and two runs scored May 21 at Birmingham ... set
a career high with 32 doubles ... went 4-for-4 with 3 doubles
July 16 in the second game of a doubleheader against Mississippi
... named to the Southern League midseason all-star team ... following
the regular season, appeared in 12 games for the Mesa Solar Sox
in the Arizona Fall League ... batted .256 (10-39) with a double
and 4 RBI.
