| Began playing baseball at six years

2006 Highlights:
Soriano switched from second base to left field and led the Major
Leagues in outfield assists with 22. He also remained an impact
player with the bat, becoming a charter member of the 40-40-40
club (46 home runs, 41 stolen bases and 41 doubles). Soriano led
the team in home runs and run scored.
2005 Highlights:
Soriano finished with impressive power numbers and ran the bases
more aggressively than in 2004. Defense at second base remains
a challenge for him, but the overall package makes Soriano a valuable
commodity. He is headed into his final year of arbitration and
could become a free agent after the 2006 season.
