No offense and terrible defense hurt Cubs in 5-0 loss

The Chicago Cubs played another terrible game as they were shutout by the White Sox 5-0. Terrible offense and just as bad defense really hurt the Cubs. Alfonso Soriano really needs to think if he is really helping the team play or if he would be better off sitting on the bench and letting Sam Fuld play left field.

Lilly goes eight strong and Lee homers in Cubs 2-0 win

Ted Lilly was dominate on the mound for the Cubs Wednesday afternoon as he tossed eight shutout innings and the Cubs beat the Astros 2-0. Derrek Lee provided the big blast for the Cubs in the fourth inning when he smashed a two-run home run to give the Cubs the lead. It’s a good thing because the rest of the offense sucked.

Wells picks up win #10 as Cubs beat Astros 4-1

Cubs starting pitcher Randy Wells pitched into the seventh inning as the Cubs beat the Astros 4-1 and evened up their series at one game each. Wells became the first Cubs rookie pitcher since Kerry Wood to record double digit wins in their rookie season. Let’s keep on winning and picking up ground in the wild card!

Harden hit hard in 5-3 Cubs loss

Rich Harden lasted just five innings on Monday night as the Cubs lost to the Astros 5-3. Harden had control issues all game long as he allowed six walks and five runs. It was not the outing the team was hoping for as they looked to pick up some ground in the wild card race with the Giants and Rockies both off.e
