Jake Fox to be called up Wednesday

I just read Bruce Miles’s blog over at the Daily Herald and he said that Jake Fox will be called up before this afternoons game against the Pirates. Aaron Miles could be headed to the disabled list or Neal Cotts could be optioned down to Triple A Iowa. Which move would you prefer?

And the losing streak hits eight

The Chicago Cubs finally scored some runs but the Pittsburgh Pirates still beat them by the score of 10-8 on Memorial Day at Wrigley Field. Ryan Dempster only lasted four innings and gave up six runs as he had a terrible game. The bullpen wasn’t any better thanks to Neal Cotts and Aaron Heilman. Losing streak is now eight games.

Another game – Another Cubs Loss

Things weren’t any different compared to the previous two nights in St. Louis as the Cubs offense struggled again and the Cardinals came away with a victory. This time it was a 3-1 decision for the Red Birds as they swept the Cubs in the three game series.

Cubs come back falls short

The Chicago Cubs dropped their second straight game to the St. Louis Cardinals as they dropped a 2-1 contest on Wednesday night. They were almost shutout for the second straight night in a row as the offense struggled against the Red Birds once again. Will they turn it around on Thursday night?
