Good news Cubs fans! The sale for the Chicago Cubs should be nearing an end! We are hearing that the Ricketts family led by Tom Ricketts was selected as the winning bid by the Tribune company. Ricketts’s bid was selcted over bids from Hersch Klaff and Marc Utay.

Once again Jim Hendry made it a point that he did not want to goto salary arbitration with any player. He made sure that wouldn’t happen when he finalized contracts with relievers Michael Wuertz and Kevin Gregg before the Tuesday deadline.

Sun-Times reports Rich Harden has a slight shoulder tear

The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that Cubs starting pitcher Rich Harden has a slight tear in his shoulder joint. We all knew that Harden was pitching injured at the end of last year but why wasn’t this looked into right after the playoffs were over? This sounds like Mark Prior all over again!
