Ted Lilly’s agent, Larry O’Brien has told MLB.Com that the Cubs have made a formal offer to sign the verteran left hander pitcher for 4 years and a contract calling for 37 million or so. He mentioned that he would talk more with Jim Hendry at this weeks Winter Meetings. A signing could take place any day if they do agree on those terms. Other teams in the market for Lilly are the Blue Jays, Yankees, Orioles, Rangers and Giants. Lilly would fill in a big gap in the starting rotation for the Cubs and it is always nice to add a left-handed pitcher to your rotation. Filed under: Uncategorized
